Quilting Class

Quilting  is the process of sewing two or more layers of  fabric  together to make a thicker padded material, usually to create a  quilt  or quilted garment. Typically quilting is done with three layers: the top fabric or quilt top,  batting  or insulating material and backing material, but many different styles are adopted.   More images to come>>>>

Sacred Art (Drawing and Meaning)

This class is based on the idea of Sacred Art. Idea and concept came from The Text African Zion: The Sacred Art of Ethiopia which is the t he art of highland Christian Ethiopia - with its icon paintings on wood, metal processional crosses, gold coins, and manuscripts - is largely unknown in the West. This book presents a survey of this art from the 4th to the 18th centuries, and addresses the function of art within Ethiopian society.
